Job Details:

  • Market and Competitor Analysis: The candidate is responsible maintaining an updated understanding of the market landscape and communicate such updates to the Chief Development Officer.
  • Lead Generation and Pipeline Development: Lead generation and pipeline development is the most critical part of New Day’s M&A life-cycle. The associate will assist the CDO in market review, target company identification, target reach out campaigns, communication tracking, and relationship management. The Associate will be responsible for maintaining the acquisition pipeline and providing status updates to the senior executive team.
  • Valuation and Analysis: The associate will drive the valuation and operational analysis of potential targets by gathering necessary information from target owners and holding discovery conference calls.
  • Create organized data packs that allow New Day’s leadership team to support a target’s strategic fit, valuation, and post-closing return on investment. ·
  • Identify and use key performance metrics to conclude on target company performance trends and compare to New Day’s business model to understand both opportunities and risks of the deal. ·
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the finance and operational staffing nuances in our business. ·
  • Due Diligence and Strategy: The associate will support the CDO in driving the due diligence process including financial due diligence, compliance, human resources, clinical charts, operations, and legal. In addition, the associate will be responsible for preparing board approval materials to be approved by the CDO, CEO and senior executive team, and board of directors. The CDO will continually work with the Associate to update the M&A playbook, which structures the entire M&A process life-cycle.
  • Create and maintain project plans (within project management software) for each target diligence workflow; track actual progress against plan and communicate updates to sellers, third parties, and leadership. ·
  • Review the diligence reports and suggest follow-up actions where required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively process data and generate recommendations. ·
  • Ability to develop a strong professional rapport is essential; setting a collaborative and friendly tone with both internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to prepare extensive financial models in Excel and organized presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as good presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong managerial skills.
  • Detail oriented; process oriented

  • Complete administrative proficiency with relevant software programs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • At least 3 years prior experience in financial analysis/strategic consulting
  • Investment banking required
