Responsibilities


River Oaks Hospital, located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults, adolescents and children. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders, River Oaks has provided quality treatment to service individuals suffering from mental illness, and/or addictive disorders. Situated on a 14-acre campus, services are available at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient).

River Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Performance Improvement (PI)/Quality Coordinator to coordinate the improvement of clinical outcomes through program evaluation and performance improvement functions including monitoring programs for compliance with quality standards, implementing tools used for programs and service evaluation, and organizing data collection and information analysis. The PI Coordinator serves as the Patient Advocate to investigate, resolve, document and report organization-specific patient and visitor concerns to leadership and staff. Assures that patient grievances are available to clients and visitors. Develops, implements and participates in customer service and patient relations initiatives related to River Oaks. Provides monthly documentation and accountability reporting to management as associated regulatory agencies. Maintains compliance with the guidelines and standards of TJC, other regulatory agencies, and UHS. Performs duties in accordance with River Oaks mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.


Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in healthcare leadership level required. Mental health experience desired.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelors level degree in an associated health care field or equivalent experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing or licensed as an LPC, LMSW, or LCSW
  • Working Knowledge: Possesses knowledge of procedures and principles of risk management related to a health care environment. Current knowledge of regulating /accrediting agency guidelines. General knowledge of age-specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management. Leadership skills.
