    The Coordinator of the Nova Center will lead an exemplary Affective-Needs separate school program for LPS students identified through the IEP process. The Coordinator will maintain high expectations for students through academics, behaviors, life skills and service coordination. The Coordinator will ensure clear criteria and procedures for transitioning students to and from the comprehensive school, other district programs or separate school settings. This Coordinator will lead staff in planning, implementing and monitoring instruction, teaching strategies and social/emotional learning within an Affective-Needs program.

    The Coordinator will ensure that an emphasis is placed on addressing the whole student through incorporation of research-based curriculum, best practices and a relationship-focused environment.

    This position will be based on a 214 day administrative calendar, and will include responsibilities for leading Extended School Year (ESY), with these additional 15-20 days paid at the per diem rate.

    A Master’s degree is required for this position and candidates must hold or be qualified to hold a Colorado principal or administrative license.

    Preferred qualifications include Special Education experience and licensure. Bilingual skills preferred.

    Salary range: $91,520-$111,900
