Offering more than 100 certificate, associate and bachelor’s degree programs, Daytona State College (DSC) has responded to the education and workforce training needs in our region for more than 60 years. The college enrolls nearly 25,000 students annually at its seven instructional sites, with graduates serving in critical fields including health care, emergency services, business, education, hospitality, engineering, technology and more.


We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as a Coordinator IV.


Required Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling or closely related field and three (3) years documented grant/project management experience. This position also requires a valid Florida Driver’s License.


The salary is $47,500


Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Various shifts and locations as assigned based on the needs of the College. Additional hours, weekends, evenings and/or holidays as needed and/or required.

Key Responsibilities:


  • In consultation with the Mary Karl College program leadership, creates and implements the long term (strategic plan that coordinates the Job Growth Workforce Expansion project activities designed to achieve the outcomes as stated in the grant proposal and award. Reviews and updates monthly.
  • Maintains records, monitors budgets and contracts, manages grant resources to ensure compliance with applicable rules, and regulations. Provides oversight for all project acquisitions. Maintains documentation to track purchases, deliveries, installations, participates, services received, training outcomes, certifications, and placements. Prepares and submits reports and participates in evaluation activities as required.
  • Supervises project staff as assigned.
  • Works in tandem and under the guidance of the School of Workforce and the Center for Business and Industry Directors to ensure responsiveness to training needs, access to target audiences, and involvement in planning and aligning programs and services to specific needs for both clock hour and continuing education programs.
  • This position consults regularly with the School of Workforce Advisory Committees, Machining and Welding Faculty leads, the office of Resource Development, Facilities, IT, Purchasing and Procurement, Marketing and Campus Directors for New Smyrna Beach/Edgewater and Deltona, to ensure ongoing monitoring, updated needs, assessments, and timely accounting of project deliverables.
  • Responsible for file audits, assures appropriate staff credentials, ensures access to student certification opportunities.
  • Responsible for curating and reporting of all data required for the project.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and accountability of the Job Growth Workforce Expansion project. This position will facilitate the implementation of project activities and coordinate and supervise the work of the staff to ensure compliance and accountability for grant funded outcome. The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, and oversight of key responsibilities. This position requires applied knowledge of multi-media marketing platforms, excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships as well as organization, data tracking and time-management skills.
