Offering more than 100 certificate, associate and bachelor’s degree programs, Daytona State College (DSC) has responded to the education and workforce training needs in our region for more than 60 years. The college enrolls nearly 25,000 students annually at its seven instructional sites, with graduates serving in critical fields including health care, emergency services, business, education, hospitality, engineering, technology and more.


We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as a Coordinator.


Required Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field and at least two years of experience working in an educational or community service environment. This position also requires a valid Florida Driver’s License.


The salary is $39,000.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provides exam information, plan, coordinate and deliver testing services to childcare providers and high schools in the assigned service areas (13 counties).
  • Serves as the exam proctor. Ensures the Department of Children and Families (DCF) regulations and documentation for all exam sessions are met. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and accountability for accurate exam distribution and retrieval.
  • Travels to all sites throughout the 13 counties in the service region is required as required.
  • Gathers class information, assigns exams, schedules exam session, and prepares exam invoices for each exam and submits the invoices to the High School for payment. Ensures receipt, marks receipts as paid and transmits the record for input in DCF system and DSC students accounts for ICCTP Program.
  • Input’s exam data into the DCF system from supporting documents once the schedule exam sessions have been completed. Verifies accuracy of completed exam session documents for scanning: Collects the batch header, attendee’s answer sheets. Follows-up daily on data submission in the DCF system to ensure that results are disseminated to the attendees.
  • Coordinates and represents ICCTP outreach events for the purpose of maintaining program visibility of DSC campuses and the community.
  • Collaborates with proctor scheduling and along with the Training Coordinator ensures Proctors are adequately trained in exam administration process and procedures. File data from completed exam session and all supporting documents in the ICCTP file room which is a high security setting and monitors.
  • Attends professional meetings to exchange information; attends professional classes, seminars, or conferences to improve professional skills.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering educational testing services for those seeking Early Child Care certification in areas of assigned responsibility. The candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, employees, and the public; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to interpret information and make logical decisions; ability to operate a calculator, PC and keyboard; ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time performing detailed tasks; and ability to maintain a high level of concentration. The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively with diverse populations and various partner organizations, while providing quality customer service always. He or She must have a valid Florida Drivers’ License.
