Position Details:
Pay Range: $16.00-17.85/hr. (based on experience/education)
Schedule: 20-30 hours/week; days/times to be determined

Located in Tucson AZ, Devereux’s Brief Intervention Program (BIP) has the capacity to serve 24 children in a behavioral health residential setting which includes 24-hour supervision and therapeutic services. The BIP is a safe and supportive environment that serves youth, ages 9 to 17, who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.

As a Cook (Food Service Specialist), you will prepare and manage food service operations and maintain food service areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary manner. This position follows federal and state guidelines in the planning, preparing, and serving meals to individuals and staff.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Food Handlers card required
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in food services required; preferred experience in large quantity or institutional cooking
  • Must be customer oriented

OTHER
  • Must possess valid driver's license & pass 39-month DMV history check
  • Current AZ fingerprint clearance card with NO restrictions - or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to attend paid full time New Hire Orientation Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
