    Position Summary:
    Primary function will be balanced between meal preparation, serving, and cashiering during meal periods for students and staff while following USDA Child Nutrition Program regulations. Additional duties include set-up and clean-up procedures related to the meal service operation, assisting with deliveries, and maintenance of inventory as assigned. Operates computerized point-of-sale software, which includes monitoring meals for compliance with federal regulations and assisting with the maintenance of meal accounts. Work cooperatively with other school staff in the preparation of foods used in district-wide menus and special function activities. Participate in Nutrition Services professional development activities as scheduled.

    Requirements:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds.

    Other Skills and Abilities:
    Basic math skills including computer applications experience. Certification with the School Nutrition Association at Level 1 within one year from date of employment.

    Schedule:
    185 days per year / 5 days per week / 7.0 hours per day / Hours are 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM

    Classification/Pay Rate:
    A-1-3 / $15.50 - $19.04 per hour
