CONTROLLER Job at Molded Devices Inc.
Molded Devices, Inc., a contract manufacturer for medical and industrial OEM's, is looking for a Controller to join our team. The position would be at our headquarters in Tempe Arizona.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements
- Provide GAAP mentorship for technical accounting and external reporting
- Establishing and maintaining internal controls
- Managing all aspects of the general ledger
- In charge of closing process across the organization
- Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
- Coordinating and assisting with the budget process
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Analyzing and reporting cost variances
- Serving as a liaison to external auditors
- Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting
- Assist in M&A activity
- Participate in special projects, system improvements or impromptu analysis
- Generate process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
- Backfill for the Controller when necessary
- Coordinate payroll across the enterprise
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong analytical, technology, communication, and organizational skills.
- Five years of experience in accounting or finance, and public accounting experience is highly valued.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with an accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience with Pivot Table and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
- Commitment and ability to meet business deadlines
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Capacity to anticipate and pre-plan work
