The Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Use Prevention, Care and Treatment (BADUPCT) works to close gaps and
reduce overall morbidity and mortality related to alcohol and substance use among New Yorkers. BADUPCT develops, implements, and evaluates interventions.
and prevention strategies through contracting of treatment, recovery, and support. services; policy analysis and development; epidemiology and surveillance.
dissemination of treatment and management guidelines; harm reduction initiatives; public and provider outreach and education and community involvement
and interagency collaboration. The Bureau amplifies the voices of those most impacted and focuses on inequitable structural, social, service, and communication.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure contract compliance in accordance with agency and grant funder requirements
  • Review and analyze proposals submitted by vendors to ensure bureau requirements are met
  • Provide technical assistance to bureau staff and vendors on developing proposals, solicitations, and grant applications
  • Process contract amendments and modifications to maximize use of awarded funds
  • Assist with contract and grant closeouts and spend down with bureau staff
  • Assist with management of research projects for grant awards
  • Serve as backup approver in financial systems and program invoice approval process
  • Perform other duties as assigned including assisting other Operations Unit staff with procurement and operations tracking

Minimum Qual Requirements

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of full-time satisfactory professional, technical or administrative experience in one or more of the following fields: program evaluation, contract negotiations/management, fiscal/financial management, or project management; or
2. A four year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent, and six years of full-time, satisfactory professional, technical or administrative work experience in one or more of the fields cited above; or
3. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. College credits obtained from an accredited college may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 college semester credits for one year of experience as described in "1" above.
However, all candidate must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least two years of full-time experience as described in "1" above.

  • Experience with procurements and contracts management
