We are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement/ TPM Specialist to join our team in Racine, WI. Working with the Continuous Improvement Site Leader, the TPM Specialist is responsible for leading and driving the implementation of Lean principles in conjunction with plant personnel.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
  • Continually review Plant applications of Lean methods/standards for continuous improvement, aid in creation and implementation of Best Practices throughout the region.
  • Communicate regularly to all plant, purchasing and other support function leaders to insure updates, alignment and understanding on accurate Lean methods and standards.
  • Assists with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization.
  • Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes.
The annual salary for this role is $56,000 - $81,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical degree with emphasis in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical subject area plus 2 or more years of experience in lean manufacturing environment.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, candidates with an Associates degree plus 5 or more years of lean manufacturing experience OR high school diploma/GED plus 7 or more years of lean manufacturing experience will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Detailed understanding of problem solving techniques, phenomenon root cause analysis through the use of proper tools, use of preventive & proactive approaches
  • Fundamental understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts, manufacturing supply chain management, value stream mapping/analysis, structured Project Management execution through an ERP platform
  • Strong business communication and presentation skills in English; Ability to communicate across multiple organizational levels
  • Ability to verify, interpret and present data in a multi-layered analytical approach through a software medium is essential along with a strong understanding of layered process audit methodology
  • Knowledge on identification, relational understanding and categorization of manufacturing and supply chain waste & losses using quantitative analysis methods
  • Strong digital literacy applying MS office and Project package, robust use of presentation software and online virtual meetings are crucial
  • Multi-functional manufacturing project management leadership experience is a plus
  • Able to multi task and coordinate activities across more than one facility/plant
  • Strong general Lean Manufacturing background acquired working within a plant setting and leading Kaizen activities
