Ferris Construction, LLC is a small, general contracting company based in Indianola that self-performs approximately 60% of our projects each year. Those projects range from custom homes, residential remodels, commercial build outs, and special interest builds. Ferris Construction, LLC is currently looking for a Construction Field Manager. This is a unique position that blends managerial responsibilities, office tasks, and hands-on construction work. This is the perfect opportunity for someone that has project management experience but still wants to swing a hammer.

The Construction Field Manager is responsible for all aspects of projects from initial client meetings, drawing designs using CAD software, drafting scopes and quotes, developing schedules, monitoring progress on projects, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, arranging inspections, and self-performing some construction tasks. This position also supervises other crew members on various projects.

The right person for this position will have worked in the construction industry for at least 5 years or 3 years with a degree in Construction Management or a similar field. Supervisory/project management experience is not required, but a track record of being a problem solver and self-starter is necessary.

Benefits include a salary of $45,000 – 65,000 depending on experience, unlimited PTO, 401k with company match, health insurance options, tuition reimbursement, and company provided clothing. We also offer the potential for a company vehicle, laptop, and phone allowance.
