Our Mitigation Reconstruction organization is looking to fill the role of construction business head and manager. In this role the successful candidate will manage a $2M+ (and growing) residential and commercial construction business. Our business is extremely competitive and dynamic. We need someone that is highly self-confident, can work independently, will aggressively take initiative, and isn’t afraid to shoulder some risk. This is neither a position nor a company that is suitable for passive individuals.

  • Position: Business Manager - Chief of Operations/Finance
  • Location: Fairfield County, NY
  • Industry: Construction & Restoration
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Salary: $85,000 - $125,000

*** Must have strong Excel skills & the ability to interpret Financial Statements

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining financial statements for the consolidated business as well as individual projects
  • Tracking performance to budget on both a cash and accrual basis
  • Managing field personnel to ensure administrative functions are completed on a timely basis
  • Interface with customers and field personnel to ensure open and effective lines of communication and timely completion of duties
  • Collecting cash payments and disbursing vendor payments as they become due

Required Skills and Experience

  • MBA or 5+ years of industry experience preferred
  • Must possess strong Excel and Word skills
  • Must have QuickBooks experience
  • Solid financial statement analysis skills
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Some knowledge of contract accounting
