Job Description


Job Summary:
The Compensation Analyst/Specialist is responsible for assisting with all compensation related activities including the analysis, design and implementation of competitive compensation programs and initiatives. This position collaborates with all levels of management to provide assistance with compensation related requests, supporting Monro’s goal of attracting and retaining top talent.


Essential Functions:

  • Compile and submit data for participation in compensation and benefit surveys; communicate survey results and make recommendations as needed
  • Perform market analysis for current and newly created positions utilizing survey data and compensation market management software; make recommendations for pay adjustments and starting salary ranges maintaining internal equity and industry competitiveness
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the compensation salary structure, revise for new positions and make adjustments to existing positions based on comprehensive market analysis
  • Provide analysis for creating and developing Monro’s Incentive/Commission Plan documents; distribute plan documents for eligible participants throughout the year and track signed/acknowledged documentation for the files
  • Work with managers to prepare, analyze and maintain compliant job descriptions, ensuring that descriptions accurately capture the essential functions and qualifications for work being performed; assess job descriptions to determine and assign appropriate FLSA exemption status and salary level
  • Maintains current knowledge of legislation and current market trends that impact compensation programs
  • Work with recruiting and onboarding to develop and maintain compliant offer letters; ensure letters contain accurate information related to the position (i.e., salary, benefits, incentive/commission plan info, etc)
  • Assist in the acquisition process, providing analysis for compensation programs to determine best course of action in transitioning acquired company to Monro’s compensation structure
  • Respond to data requests for ad hoc reports and analysis related to compensation
  • Assist with ensuring data integrity in HRIS database as it relates to salary structure, job codes, position title, etc.
  • Assists in administration and development of annual salary programs, such as Merit/performance management, incentive, salary structure and salary increase programs
  • Analyze cost of compensation and other monetary-based reward programs
  • Supports administration of the benchmarking system
  • Increase efficiencies and make process improvement recommendations to improve and enhance customer satisfaction
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Management Responsibility:

The Compensation Analyst/Specialist is an individual contributor to the Monro Human Resources team and operates under the direction of the Senior Compensation Analyst.


Qualifications


Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required and a minimum of 1 - 3 years in a Compensation Analyst/Specialist role.


Knowledge & Skills
:

  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of compensation data analytics, programs, and best practices
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization and team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and change focus quickly to meet business needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and is attentive to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas); ability to learn new and existing company specific software applications
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying problems, collecting data, and establishing facts to produce practical decisions and solutions


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.

Position requires prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working a computer.

Must be able to see, speak, and hear.
