Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a maintenance technician to join our team at Timberwood Apartments in Bellevue, WA! Timberwood Apartments is a beautiful 240-unit garden style community centrally located in the Bellevue/Redmond area. You will be joining a fun and supportive team where we encourage career advancement and training. We offer:

*$28 - $30 per hour, DOE, and bonus potential

*Full time employees earn 144 Hours or 18 days of PTO per year with the ability to carry over up to 80 hours a year. Increased PTO after 6 and 9 consecutive years with Allied Residential.

Responsibilities Include:

*Assist the team in performing Grounds Keeping duties

* Ensures that work order requests are responded to promptly and professionally

*Turnovers of units in a timely manner and assist with unit renovations when needed

*Performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager

*Assess and maintain the property buildings and Common Area Maintenance

*Assists supervisor with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors

* Communicates with supervisor and manager regarding the overall maintenance function of the property

*Being available on-call, on a rotating basis, for emergency calls while taking turns with the other staff in the maintenance team.

*Contribute to a positive team and happy resident base

*Working towards electrical technician license (O7B)

Requirements:

*Education/Experience: High School education or equivalent.

*Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

*Training in some or all the following areas, a plus: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing, cleaning, air conditioning, and appliance repair

*Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, invoices, specification sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

*Physical aspects of the job may require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying.
