Job Description:
Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join the Strategic Development team at our corporate headquarters in Lenexa, KS. This individual will increase clarity in messaging, foster connections, and improve collaboration through the interal communication function.

Responsibilities
- Project management of internal communications initiatives, including measurement of initiatives’ success; Continually review best practices for internal communication and engagement
- Assist with the creation and execution of communications plans; Assist with communication processes and governance
- Develop relationships with organizational stakeholders to promote the internal communication function, services, and resources
- Collaborate with fellow internal communications contributors to publish content to company channels
- Assist with various media and channels, including the intranet, email, video, audio, print, FAQs, presentations, talking points, social media, and more
- Develop and communicate strategies and authentic messages in clear and concise language
- Develop and manage communications calendars, timelines, review processes, approvals, scheduling, testing, sending, tracking, and reporting
- Provide information to Performance Contracting employees about new initiatives and the “why” behind them to prompt understanding of company direction and inclination to engage in calls to action
Basic Requirements:
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related discipline, or comparable work experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Planning, organizing, time management, and project management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a collaborative team
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities
- Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service and building relationships while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of effective internal communication practices
- Ability to create schedules and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Willingness to take initiative and be accountable
- High attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
- Intermediate computer literacy with capabilities in Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Outlook, Forms, Lists, Teams, Word, Excel, and Viva Connections is preferred
- Local to Kansas City metro area preferred
