Job Description:
The Communications and Project Lead leverages JM Family’s strong culture to help on-board JM Family Holdings’ acquisitions and assist JMF Holdings’ associates adopt and sustain the JM Family Way. You will execute proactive and reactive communications strategies that advance JM Family’s purpose-driven and results-oriented culture.

The Communications and Project Lead will serve as liaison between JM Family Holdings’ Center, JMF Holdings platforms and Parent. You will be focused on crafting creative and informative content, managing large-scale communication campaigns to influence change and action across JM Family Holdings and protecting our reputation by escalating issues if they arise.

This is a highly cross functional position that will work closely with Parent teams (Office of the CEO, HR, Corporate Development, internal communications and other areas), and JM Family Holdings leadership to ensure consistency across initiatives and programs.

This individual will also develop messaging in support of JM Family Holdings’ monthly trustees’ communication, leadership monthly videos, all-hands meetings, and leadership summits.

General Responsibilities:
  • Drive an integrated strategy for JM Family Holdings’ business, cultural, community impact and executive communications
  • Author or proofread content including announcements, speaking points and video scripts, presentations, executive correspondence and general collateral material
  • Develop thorough communication plans for campaigns leveraging a number of channels including email, digital signage, print, mobile and Intranet
  • Partner with internal customers to field requests, manage deadlines and oversee project details from concept through fulfillment; support the external communications team when needed
  • Collaborate with the internal design and visual communications teams to develop supporting materials, and ensure continuity of branding and messaging across all channels
  • Utilize project management tools to support new acquisitions’ integration plan, build campaigns, track communication effectiveness, monitor analytics, adjust timelines and modify messaging to achieve maximum success
Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, internal corporate communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or comparable role
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Highest-level writing skills with the ability to write for a variety of topics and to adapt style for a range of audiences and persona's, including senior level executives; ability to interpret highly technical information and translate key messages into more accessible information
  • Proven experience building relationships and advising partners on best practices to achieve desired communication outcomes; professional demeanor, comfortable working with senior leaders
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced team environment and managing multiple projects with shifting deadlines, all with a keen attention to quality and detail; provide impeccable customer service and leverage effective problem-solving skills
  • Experience measuring communication effectiveness a must; excellent computer and organizational skills
  • Writing samples and writing evaluation will be required
