We are looking for an enthusiastic Employee Communications Specialist to support our Americas internal employee communications. Phenomenal communication and writing skills will be critical for this role. Experience in corporate communications and project management skills are also important. This is a hybrid role requiring 50% time in person in our corporate office in Rosemont, IL. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in creating and editing impactful and engaging HR and general content for employees that effectively describes and promotes programs and initiatives in support of the organization’s goals and culture.
  • Develops communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials, MS Teams and other platforms, town halls, small group meetings, etc.) to articulate key messages.
  • Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate for the audience and integrated with MCC’s priorities and themes.
  • Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of internal employee events as needed and appropriate.
  • Works with internal HR and business stakeholders to create and maintain content for employee communication channels and works cross functionally to explore/recommend new channels or technologies where possible.
  • Manages content for the global company intranet, ensuring that it is up-to-date, engaging, and informative.

Qualifications:

  • Possesses outstanding verbal and written communications skills including superior writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information to create compelling stories and action communications.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high quality results on schedule.
  • Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups.
  • Consistently demonstrates strong business acumen and judgment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with partners and staff at all levels.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with SharePoint, video-editing software and enterprise-based social media tools are also a plus.
  • Experience creating and delivering content across multiple modes of media is preferred.
  • Experience working in, or with, Human Resources is strongly preferred.
