Opportunity:

We are looking for a Commercial Sales Development Engineer to drive and manage our retrofit multifamily housing / commercial solar projects throughout California. Project sizes will range in size from 20kW – 1MW. Working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, the Commercial Sales Development Engineer will be responsible for managing the projects from internal project award to commissioning and permission to operate.

Responsibilities:

· Engage with customers and other relevant trade partners as the main point of contact during the project

· Own and drive all retrofit multi-family and commercial projects

· Create and drive project schedule and deliverables

· Oversee design and engineering of projects with in-house design team

· Manage and coordinate permits with permitting coordinator

· Manage utility applications with in-house interconnection team

· Coordinate procurement of materials with in-house Purchasing Manager

· Coordinate and provide direction to field crews and Superintendent

· Manage and coordinate invoicing

· Assist project developers with budgeting, bidding, designing, and contracting projects

Skills:

· Good record keeping and organizational skills

· Ability to drive projects forward and overcome obstacles

· Able to meet deadlines and keep projects within budget

· Estimating/budgeting experience

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Computer: Microsoft programs, Helioscope, and Energy Toolbase

Qualifications:

· 3+ years construction and commercial solar experience

· 2+ years of project management or construction operations experience

· Solid understanding of the commercial project cycle

· Knowledge of residential and commercial building code

· Knowledge of multi-family PV interconnections as well as VNEM (Virtual Net Metering)

· Knowledge of commercial solar equipment and solutions: panels, racking, inverters, and batteries

· Knowledge of all system types: tilt and flat roof mount, ballasted and hybrid systems, ground mounts, carports, etc...

· Knowledge of electrical code

· Knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems
