Purpose of position

We are looking for a career-seeking individual to fully participate in helping Foundation realize its mission, align with its core values, and achieve its goals by fulfilling the roles and responsibilities as an Account Manager.

Job Description

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing a diverse book of business. The Account Management role is essential as he/she develops and maintains the relationship with our clients and provides the first line of excellent customer service. The Commercial Lines Account Manger also works closely with the Producers, Account Support Specialists, and Underwriters so the candidate must be a team player.

Duties include but are not limited to endorsements, answering underwriting requests, rounding out and up-selling accounts, renewing policies including surplus lines, renewal proposals, answering billing questions, audit disputes, and processing cancellations/reinstatements; all while maintaining an upbeat attitude for a positive work environment.

Requirements -

  • Have 5 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience (preferred)
  • Have a valid Virginia Property & Casualty license (preferred)
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred
  • Be ethical, professional, intelligent, personable, analytical, highly motivated, energetic, and responsible.
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organization
  • Have strong computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and management systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Applied/TAM
  • Experience with Erie, Travelers, Donegal, Hanover, and The Hartford's management and quoting system.
  • Designations such as CIC or CISR
