What you’ll do:

• Provide safety, comfort, non-invasive medical care
• Assist with activities of daily living including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulating and transferring
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Encourage participation in activities
• Adhere to all professional standards
• Follow all policies and procedures of Family Private Care and guidelines of the State of Georgia

What attributes are necessary for this position?

• High School Diploma or GED, prefer 21+ years of age
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as CNA, HHA or PCA, preferred
• CNA Certification, HHA Training, or we can help you earn your PCA Certificate if you have experience
• CPR/First Aid; TB Skin Test within 1 year or Chest X-Ray within last 5 years to rule out TB
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check and be willing to undergo Drug Screening
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• Good communication skills and empathetic bedside manner
• Compassion, energy and enthusiasm
• Self motivated and focused on the client
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle critical situations calmly
