JOB SUMMARY:

Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional person who is specifically trained and competent to perform assigned functions of personal care to Angels on Earth PPEC center individuals under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Such care is provided in accordance with all professional, state, and federal requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Understands and adheres to established Center policies and procedures.

2. Performs personal care as ordered.

3. Report changes in patient’s condition and needs to RN.

4. Performs simple procedures as an extension of the therapy services, e.g., range of motion (ROM) exercises as assigned.

5. Assists with medications as assigned.

6. Attends in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled and necessary.

7. Attends patient care conferences as scheduled.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License.

2. One year of pediatric experience.

3. Current CPR certification.

4. First Aid certification.

5. Satisfactory criminal background check.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have transportation to arrive on time to the Center.

2. Ability to stand, lift, or assist in lifting the individual for skilled nursing care, feeding, changing, bathing, and emergency response.

3. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and generally demonstrate flexibility to meet the care needs of the individual.

4. Must be able to see with visual and listen with hearing acuity to appropriately monitor the individual and associated medical equipment.

5. Must have strength and manual dexterity, including grasping and manipulating small objects, to operate medical equipment appropriately.

6. Must be capable of responding to emergency situations.

COMPENSATION

Pay will be discussed at the time of employment.
