Software Engineer, Cloud Native Platform (USA Remote)
We are looking for an Software Engineer to join our Cloud Native Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing software components to support our platform modernization initiative. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, passionate about automation, and has experience working with the latest cloud native technologies. Responsibilities
Develop, integrate and maintain software for Cloud Native Technologies using languages such as Go, Python, Java and Javescript
Utilize CICD tools (GitOps, Harness) and methodologies to rapidly deliver apps and provision cloud infrastructure
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible & Teraform automation technologies
Provision and manage resources on cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Openstack
Leverage SRE Principles to ensure reliability targets are enforced and to ensure a high quality SaaS product
Mitigate security risks through the use of DevSecOps and Security Testing Orchestration (STO) principles
Implement business logic though use of Open Policy Agent (OPA) policy-based control framework
Utilize load test generation tools to synthetically validate system performance
Ensure a resilience software delivery by implementing Chaios Engineering best practices
Develop tests to ensure high levels of code coverage and improve code quality
Write and maintain technical documentation to ensure best practices and repeatable processes

Write, modify, and debug software for client applications. Use source debuggers and visual development environments. Test and document software for client applications. Write code to create single-threaded, multi-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone and those which access servers or services. 5 years of experience are required.

  • Minimum Requirements: (“Must have” Qualifications)

Expertise in software development and automation (e.g. Go, Python, Java, Bash, Ansible, Teraform, etc.)
Experience with working with databases, message brokers, and in-memory cache systems
Good development skills in languages such as Go, Python, Java or Javascript
Strong experience provisioning in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, GCP or Openstack

• Desired Skills/Qualifications/System Experience requirements: (“Nice to have Qualifications”)

3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
1 year of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Strong experience provisioning in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, GCP or Openstack
