Position Focus:
The clinical supervisor will directly deliver evidence-based LGBTQ-affirmative CBT as part of clinical trials and provide supervision to a staff of study therapists, typically graduate students in clinical and counseling psychology. The clinical supervisor will also oversee quality assurance and therapist fidelity to the treatment. As such, the candidate should possess strong attention to detail, communication, organizational oversight, and leadership skills. Opportunities might also exist to conduct national trainings in LGBTQ-affirmative CBT as part of implementation research, pending funding. Opportunities also exist to become involved in the research process including advising participant recruitment and supporting data analysis and manuscript writing, depending on research interest and preparation.
The primary responsibilities of the clinical supervisor will include: Delivering evidence-based LGBTQ-affirmative CBT. Managing and supporting the onboarding and training to a staff of study therapists delivering LGBTQ-affirmative CBT. Responding to clinical issues that arise in therapy sessions or participant interviews with research staff. Preparing reports for the Institutional Review Board and Data and Safety Monitoring Board regarding clinical issues that arise during research study. Supporting the training of research assistants conducting clinical interviews with participants. Coding videos of therapy sessions for fidelity and quality assurance. Advising the research team on measures, coding, and analysis of clinical topics. Regular meetings with the research team to update on study progress.
