Summary:

As a Clinical Supervisor or a Qualified Supervising Professional at Health Innovations of America, you will develop and oversee treatment plans and services provided to children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or related conditions. Additionally, you will recognize and evaluate abilities in supervisees, review assessments and treatment plans, review and approve progress notes and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families and employees.

Job responsibilities/tasks:

Provide professional services to a caseload of children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder who are receiving therapeutic services.

Recognize/evaluate abilities in supervisees, review assessments and treatment plans for accuracy and appropriateness, and review and approve the progress notes of recipients treated by the supervisee according to their supervision plan.

Provide Family and Caregiver Training and Counseling.

Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with patients, families, co-workers, and other organizations.

Utilize sensitivity and competence with addressing cross-cultural issues.

Provide rehabilitative and skills-focused services to enable clients in basic living and social skills, community intervention, and transitioning to community living.

Establish personal recovery goals, rehabilitative goals, and objectives with clients.

Oversee and audit all client related documentation within clinical file.

Coordinate services with all outside service providers as needed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

5+ years’ experience working in a similar role.

License to practice independently as a mental health professional in Minnesota:

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Licensed Psychologist (LP)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Clinical Nurse Specialist - Psychiatric or mental health nursing

  • Knowledge and experience with ABA services required.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Experiences working in an Autism Center plus.
  • Experience providing CTSS and EIDBI services a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize workload

To qualify as a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation (CMDE) provider, a professional must meet all of the following requirements:

1. Be either: A licensed physician, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) or mental health professional as defined in Minn. Stat. §245I.04, subd. 6; A mental health practitioner who meets the requirements of a clinical trainee as defined in Minn. R. 9505.0371, subp. 5c.

2. Have either: At least 2,000 hours of clinical experience in the evaluation and treatment of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or related conditions; Completed the equivalent in graduate-level coursework (refer to equivalent coursework section) at an accredited college or university.

Note: Coursework must be documented in one or more of the following areas: ASD or a related condition diagnosis, ASD or a related condition treatment strategies or child development.

3. Be able to diagnose, evaluate and/or provide treatment within their scope of practice and license.

QSP:

To qualify as a qualified supervising professional (QSP), a person must meet all of the following requirements:

1. Be employed by an EIDBI provider agency.

2. Be a physician, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), developmental or behavioral pediatrician or licensed mental health professional as defined in Minn. Stat. §245I.04, subd. 2.

3. Have either: At least 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training in the examination and/or treatment of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a related condition; Completed the equivalent in graduate-level coursework at an accredited university (refer to equivalent coursework section).

Note: Coursework must be documented in one or more of the following areas: ASD or a related condition diagnostics, ASD or a related condition treatment strategies or child development.

4. Be able to provide treatment within their scope of practice and license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
