Summary of Job Duties:
**This position will primarily work remotely from home but must be able to travel to campus and/or University Towers to attend meetings and to support application analyst staff to meet our Service Level Agreements.**

The Associate Clinical Application Analyst supports IT Patient Systems – Patient Access and Experience. Acts independently under supervision, performs a variety of routine work with detailed instructions on new projects and assignments. Supports system applications, primarily MyChart, Care Everywhere, EC Link. etc. Primary responsibilities will be to manage incoming customer complaints and/or questions, provide excellent Customer Service – acting as quasi–Help Desk specifically for MyChart patients. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it. Analyzes/reviews and tests solutions that are shared with patients and adjusts them to meet the truest needs of the patient. Works with rest of EC Plus team to identify, build, and test best solutions for patients based on experience gained from customer service experience. Work with EC Plus team and operations to best serve the UAMS patient in regard to their use of MyChart. Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system. Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. Researches, analyzes, facilitates, and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Prepares activity and other reports as necessary. Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Customer Service and/or Patient Relationship Experience, Healthcare, Business, IT or related field plus two (2) years of experience -OR- High School Diploma/GED with 4 years Patient Relationship/Customer Service experience, IT experience or any combination of the two.
  • Required Certification: MyChart– Must currently be certified or obtain within 12 months.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work productively in a team environment
  • The ability to work under limited general supervision
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to manage relationships with patients as they call in to ask for specialized help regarding MyChart and/or their patient experience
  • Ability to remain calm while dealing with stressful conversations with patients
  • To assist in diffusing situations where patients need help or are upset/frustrated with their MyChart experience
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and to help in finding solutions to patient problems of an already escalated situation/nature

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Managing stressful situations regarding patient relationships and/or customer service
  • Patient relationship and/or customer service required with some IT experience a plus
  • Required certification: MyChart. Must be certified or obtain within 12 months
  • Remain calm and helpful when dealing with stressful situations and frustrated patients
