PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enters work orders and other relevant information into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Answer phones, respond to electronic requests, contact maintenance staff on radio, vocera or other means of communication to dispatch work requests

Generate corrective maintenance work orders as needed for requests and dispatch to the appropriate staff. Assist as needed to compile pertinent information for Joint Commission such as locating files and assembling binders.

Print reports as required.

Actively collaborates with peers to assure coverage is maintained.

Support department/organizational initiatives

Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate / equivalent or college background.

Two years clerical and data entry experience. Experience with network computers and Microsoft Office software preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of clerical methods and techniques.

Knowledge of office equipment and machines.

Skill in oral and written communications. Skill to include a pleasant and customer focused phone etiquette.

Ability to learn departmental policies, procedures, technical vocabulary and state of the art data base user skills.

Ability to learn new computer programs.

Ability to interact effectively and maintain constructive working relationships

Ability to properly plan, organize and prioritize work assignments with minimum instruction.

Ability to type accurately at 50 wpm, with 95% accuracy.
