Position Summary: Responsible for the transfer of materials between Royal Plywood locations which will require one to two overnight stays per week in a sleeper equipped truck. These days to be directed by Management and are subject to change. Responsibility also includes the delivery of materials to Royal Plywood customers in a safe and timely manner.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Class A license required
  • Experience on some touch freight and secure freight by hand
  • Curtain side trailers experience helpful
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (safety sensitive position).
  • Basic knowledge of safety equipment and safety procedures.

Physical Demands

The position requires pushing, pulling, and lifting materials not exceeding 50 pounds. Any workload exceeding 51-60 pounds will require assistance. Requires grasping, writing, standing,

Reaching, sitting, lifting, squatting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with employees, clients, vendors, and the general public. Must have the ability to hear warning horns or sirens. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and far visions. Requires manual and finger dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Working Conditions

The position requires one to work Monday through Friday and with a set schedule of hours to meet the shifting needs of the Company. There may be exposure to some potentially toxic substances, such as cleaning agents, fuel, and oil. Frequent contact with employees, clients, vendors, and the general public.
