Responsibilities:
- Produce design plans for public agency projects; roads, streets, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water, trails, schools, utilities, site, and civil facilities
- Plan production will include preparations of plan and profiles of streets and other underground utilities
- Assist project manager with of design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination
- Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.
- Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor
- Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings
- Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes, and assist with general project correspondence
- Compose and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- 0-4 years’ related experience
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is a plus
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Capability to utilize MicroStation and GeoPak
- Strong organizational skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Works well in a Team Environment
- Thorough attention to detail
- Advanced MicroStation, GeoPak, and Open Roads is a plus
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques
- Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects
- Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately
