Child Development Site Supervisor – Pro Action Head Start/Early Head Start is seeking candidates who have a passion for Early Childhood Education to apply for our Child Development Site Supervisor position that provides mentorship, supervision and procedural support in classrooms.
The* Site Supervisor* will spend time at assigned classrooms and serve as a resource for classroom teams. Will assist in the implementation of curriculum plans, conduct classroom observations, monitor for licensing compliance, and review the records of enrolled children for completeness.
The Site Supervisor will assist in implementing education work plans, and review documentation of children’s developmental progress to inform programming.
Supervisory level responsibilities will include interviewing, selecting, and ensuring training for new/existing classroom staff, monitoring compliance with Office of Children and Family Service NYS Day Care Regulations/Head Start Performance Standards/School Districts Standards, facilitating and documenting monthly supervisory conferences, and conducting performance appraisals.
The Site Supervisor will attend Head Start Management meetings and participate in updating written plans and establishing goals and outcomes based on program requirements and community assessments.
If you have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Special Education – Birth to Grade 2, and supervisory experience, we encourage you to apply for this management level position.
The candidate must be a strong and effective member/leader of a successful team. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exercise independent judgement are necessary. A valid driver’s license that meets agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation are required.
