ABOUT SENECA
Seneca Family of Agencies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services to children and their families. We are seeking a contracted Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to support our San Francisco County programs, located in the SF General/Potrero Hill region. As the Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric services within our outpatient clinics and wraparound program. Our clients include children, adolescents, and the Transitional Age Youth population. As a nonprofit mental health agency, Seneca Family of Agencies is committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities a network of outstanding mental health, community-based, and educational services. Seneca operates a wide variety of programs, including school-based programs, community-based programs, and crisis services and is looking for qualified child psychiatrists eager to work within multi-disciplinary teams in collaborative, innovative settings which are client and family-focused. Physicians also enjoy being part of a growing and supportive department of physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses.

ABOUT THE PROCESS
As a Joint Commission accredited behavioral health organization, all consulting psychiatrists must undergo a credentialing process, and so early applications are encouraged even for future openings. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. We are continuing to expand!

Travel stipends also offered for extended commutes.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete initial and ongoing evaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needs
  • Prescribe and monitor medications
  • Provide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimen
  • Maintain timely and accurate paperwork, including Medi-Cal documentation
  • Additional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical Director
Qualifications:
  • Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Active California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA Certificate
  • Successful completion of Seneca’s credentialing process
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • TB test clearance, fingerprint clearances, and any other State/Federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Valid California driver's license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policy
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster required
Schedule:
  • Approximately 8 - 12 hours per week
    • Hybrid work schedule
Benefits:
  • Starting $240 an hour, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
