CHIEF NURSING OFFICER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY:
Organize and administer patient care services in all nursing areas to attain hospital objectives.
Plan, implement, evaluate, supervise delivery of patient care.
Develop and maintain organization policies, budgets, and personnel.
Provide leadership in nursing issues in accordance with the hospital administration team and with Federal, State, and local regulations.
This position serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promote awareness of the hospital standards, mission, and vision.
All nursing departments are supervised.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to handle stressful situations.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Understand business computer systems and software including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
Management skills.
Read and interpret financial statements.
Willing to work flexible hours to meet hospital needs and demands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing and current Registered Nurse Nebraska License.
BSN required/MSN preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Patient Care Services management.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NRP and TNCC.
