Chief Facilities Engineer

Responsible for directing and overseeing the proper maintenance of company facilities at Texas Lantana (TXL) and all affiliate company facilities.
About the Company: Texas Lantana offers unique training locations, equipment, and personnel in West TX in a format that can scale and tailor to meet government and private sector needs. Training is coordinated with affiliate ranching, contracting, and dirt construction entities with full time and contract operational and support staff. Specific Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all projects, routine maintenance, repairs and replacement projects are completed in a timely fashion and according to applicable build codes.
- Assess critical situations (fire, natural disasters, major mechanical malfunctions, etc) and facilitate and immediate and appropriate response.
- Obtain and present cost-effective proposals for maintaining or repairing all systems throughout the facilities.
- Stay up to date on facility preventative maintenance.
- Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments
- Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area at all times.
- Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools
- Maintain annual budget for all maintenance projects
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers and external vendors for any needed services
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- High School diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in the area of maintenance
- Must have knowledge of : methods, and materials used in general building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, building and electrical units and HVAC.
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with executive teams and vendors.
- Experience creating and managing maintenance logs and calendars.
- Works well in high stress and emergency situations
- Direct experience working in both rural and urban environments.
