Job Details:

The Chartering Assistant will provide support to the Shipping & Chartering department with various data entry and data management duties. The role is an essential part of the team, accountable for back-office activities and ensuring the team is fully briefed on progress and frequently communicating with team members in other departments. The Shipping Assistant must have a strong sense of responsibility, be a team player, and be detail oriented.

Requirements

  • Record all chartering contracts into system
  • Prepare and submit owner’s registration files
  • Save and store chartering documents in designated folders
  • Submit and follow up on chartering contract signing procedures
  • Perform other tasks that required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Maritime, such as Maritime Business, Maritime Administration, International Logistics, or related field

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite to include advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to quickly learn the company’s ERP
  • Ability to work remotely; 2 days at the office location

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
