Certified Medical Assistant Job at Meadowbrook Pediatrics, P.C.
Meadowbrook Pediatrics is a thriving privately owned pediatric practice located in the suburbs of Philadelphia looking for an independent, hard working, energetic medical assistant to join our practice. We provide care to children from birth through 18 years of age. Job responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients to be seen by the physician
- Taking vital signs, height, weight, blood pressure, and temp
- Entering data into EHR
- Preparing lab , x-ray requisitions , and other referrals as needed
- Performing lab tests including urine dipstick, rapid strep, rapid flu , and sending specimens out to the lab
- Preparing and administering vaccines
- Prepping and stocking rooms
- Communicating with patients and their families about test results or advice
- Must be compassionate. dependable, supportive and willing to learn
- Must be a team player
This position provides a rewarding opportunity to challenge yourself while also creating a well balanced work/life schedule.
The hours would include days, some weekday evenings until 8:00 pm , and some Saturday mornings.
Experience in a pediatric practice is preferred.
PA Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Background Check will be required before starting.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
