CDL Class B Driver (full-time).
The Mosholu Montefiore Community Center (MMCC) is the largest not-for-profit provider of quality education, employment, and health and recreation programs in the impoverished neighborhoods of the North Bronx, serving the needs of more than 35,000 residents each year. Salary:
- $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities:
- CDL Drivers are responsible for transporting different types of goods and clients to and from our centers.
- They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip.
- Drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.
- Delivering and client transport.
- Managing and maintaining CDL license.
- Making sure that passengers are safely following safety guides.
- Assisting workers in loading and unloading trucks.
- Performing a pre-trip inspection daily.
Qualifications:
- Great customer service skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Having interpersonal skills.
- Having good knowledge of roads.
- Being able to work under pressure.
- Having a good work ethic.
- Being able to read customer orders and follow safety regulations.
Requirements:
- CDL Class B Driver License with school bus endorsement.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent education level.
- Minimum of at least one year of CDL driving experience with a bus or box truck.
- School bus driving experience preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
