Ranch Inventory and Cattle Health/Performance Data Manager

Animal Science and Cattle background is a must. Applicate must have basic industry knowledge, such as Average Daily Gains, feed conversions, quality and yield grades, etc.

Postition will include but not limited to-

· Record all cattle transactions and activity in AMS and Promini

o Ins, outs, pen movements, deads

o Send customers and management all cattle activity reports

§ Receiving, shipping, death notifications, notable activities

· Manage and record animal health records

o Enter treatments into computer systems and all associated fees

o Send weekly health reports to health riders

o Send weekly summaries of animal treatments to manag

o Disseminate information on individual animal performance, health records, etc to the customers at checkpoints and shipping.

o Ensure that fat cattle are past withdrawal dates prior to shipping

o Work with health and processing crews to ensure they have correct products and equipment

o Check processing reports for price/usage variances and maintain accurate records of work orders

§ Record vaccine/product lot numbers/usage/headcounts

· Data Management

o Put together data points of interest in comparisons and trial information

o Put together harvest data on all fat cattle

o Put together ADG and sort group information

o Update computer systems to reflect check point weights at reimplant and update estimated harvest dates

o Send updated weights/ADG reports to customers at reimplant/checkweights

§ Send trial closeouts to Don and Clayton at reimplant/checkweights

· Inventory Management

o Order and receive vet supplies and medications weekly

o Take monthly count/ inventory on health products

o Keep the tackroom area clean and well organized

o Check expiration/integrity of all health products regularly

o Maintain relationship with health product vendors

· Cattle Harvested for Quincey Beef and other customers

o Obtain applications and affidavits for all cattle in our yards

§ Complete, submit and keep on file in house

o Send customers shipping reports and report on received cattle

o Share harvest data with appropriate parties

· Technology

o Ensure health riders and processing crew have working equipment

§ Surface Pro, Desktop, Aleis EID reader, Pocket Readers, Stick readers

§ Set up, software downloads, service calls

· Agritourism

o Entertain calls and schedule tours for prospective customers, school groups, professionals, etc.

o Facilitate tours of facilities and share our story

o Engage with tour guests and facilitate meetings as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
