Chicken & Whiskey is opening its fourth location in the spring of 2023, and is actively hiring its opening team!

This fast casual + whiskey bar concept features Peruvian rotisserie chicken and South American flavors created by Chef Enrique Limardo, as well as a Whiskey Bar with 99 whiskeys and handcrafted cocktails, DJs to bring the nightlife, and much more. C+W is two rich concepts in one location, separated by their own respective spaces but joined by the same commitment to high quality and professional execution.

C+W is seeking a Cashier to join our team in support of the creation and execution of this authentic experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create a warm and inviting welcome for our guests and establish memorable first impressions
• Maintain high knowledge of the food menu to answer guests' questions and describe items in an enthralling way while upselling sides, beverages, etc.
• Enter food and beverage orders via POS efficiently and properly
• Answer telephone calls and handle restaurant inquiries with a smile and eagerness to assist
• Assist with packaging, assembling, and transactions for to-go orders
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy
• Follow food safety, health code, sanitation, and quality assurance procedures
• Attend educational/developmental sessions as required

Chicken & Whiskey is part of SRG Concepts, a privately-owned restaurant group that currently owns and operates 7 locations in the greater Washington DC, metropolitan area. We are currently executing our full service and fast casual growth strategy. Our concepts are Chicken & Whiskey, The Walrus Oyster & Ale House, and doi moi.

Requirements:

• Experience in high volume settings
• Able to work evenings, late nights, weekends and holidays
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other restaurant staff
• Strong communication skills
• Stand and work in constant motion for the entire shift
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
• Be able to lift up to 30 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
