About the Role
The Cash Flow Specialist reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager at ACRT Services. This position will play a key role in assisting with safeguarding the assets of ACRT Services and its subsidiaries by maintaining a healthy accounts receivable position for all accounts assigned. This position requires a high degree of organization and excellent attention to detail.
What You’ll Do:
  • Portfolio Management
    • Responsible for managing an account portfolio and assisting in account reconciliation for the collection of all monies due from customers. Prioritizes portfolio so that collection efforts result in maximum benefits watching for key indicators that a customer account is in jeopardy of becoming delinquent.
    • Resolves customer account issues including past due invoices to assure timely payments. May make recommendations to Operation Managers and/or the customer to negotiate payment settlements. May further provide assistance with non-payment issues to resolve the root cause
    • Document instances where a customer needs to be contacted regarding a delinquent invoice.
    • Prepares reports and presents for review with internal customers including Operations and Finance.
    • Escalate nonpayment of invoices to higher levels of management.
    • Develop a recovery system and initiate collections efforts.
    • Daily cash receipts application.
  • Perform Collection Activities
    • Collection calls.
    • Collection correspondence via email.
    • Continuous follow-up to ensure resolutions are implemented.
    • Forecast cash collections.
  • Team & Customer Collaboration
    • Communicate with customers to resolve billing and reconciliation issues and concerns.
    • Works collaboratively with AR Supervisor, AR Accountants, and Project Managers to resolve unpaid cash and non-payment issues as well as customer-related disputes.
    • Initiates the review, research, and resolution of receivables. Evaluates customers’ A/R to determine problem accounts, doubtful accounts, and write-offs.
    • Review contracts and audit rates at regular intervals.
    • Communicate across all levels of the organization items relating to invoicing and their impact on other areas.

About You
Must haves:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1 or more years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
Nice to haves:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
Your Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Look-ups, Pivot Tables, etc).
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Great time management skills, ability to prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to exercise good judgement to make good business decisions.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a clear knowledge of company DSO and invoicing policy.
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end billing functions and protocols.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting tools and the ability to perform financial analysis.
  • General financial analytic capability.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
This role would not be a good fit if:

  • Talking to customers on the phone.

Where We Work:
At ACRT Services we prefer in-person employee interaction and we rely on collaboration among groups to be successful and agile, which means we expect work in the office to continue as an important part of our company culture and a key to employee success. This position is a remote hybrid role, meaning employees will be required to come into the Stow, Ohio office on a weekly or as-needed basis.
Standard office equipment will be provided to work in the office and at home - a dedicated space at home to work is also required. Uninterrupted home-based internet is a must in your home to attend and host video calls, along with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 Mbps. If you do not have an in-home office space or cannot meet internet needs, an office space will be provided for you in the company’s Stow, Ohio office.
