Shift: (Multiple Open Positions) Sun-Wed 7am-6pm OR Wed-Sat 10am-9pm

Reports To: Program Manager, Team Lead Supervisor

About Do Good Multnomah: Do Good Multnomah is a non-profit organization that partners with the community to provide supportive housing and low-barrier emergency shelter to houseless veterans in Portland, Oregon. We emphasize relationship-building, one-on-one engagement, supportive services, and direct community participation, changing the way we serve houseless veterans. SUMMARY: The Case Manager will engage with, check in on, and manage a case load of vulnerable individuals with the goal to help them attain necessary documents for housing. With that in mind, staff should understand that they will possibly come into contact with individuals who have COVID-19. Case Managers work in our shelter sites and are expected engage with shared site operation duties such as meal distribution, cleaning tasks, and other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

  • Process paperwork and forms as required by Do Good and the JOHS.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Navigation Specialists, Team Lead Supervisors and Program Managers.
  • Attend supervision, staff supervisions, staff meetings & any appropriate community professional meetings.
  • Engage with individuals who are experiencing houselessness and have possibly been exposed with or are carrying the COVID-19 virus, while maintaining an assigned case load.
  • Assist in delivery of hygiene kits and essential supplies to individuals as a part of assigned caseload.
  • Follow steps outlined by Do Good and the JOHS on engaging with their assigned caseload and reporting on the health and well-being of that caseload.
  • Assist the assigned caseload in finding sustainable housing.
  • Participate in compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy and security regulations applicable to the program, and to Do Good Multnomah’s policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.
  • Assist with participant advocacy.
  • Engage with community partners in a respectful manner.
  • Assist in management of food box program.
  • Participate in compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Participate in shelter duties in order to maintain a clean, safe environment for staff and participants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
