Case Manager

Full Time | Day Shift

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Case Manager for CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence in Columbus, Ohio. LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence has been the sole resource for victims seeking shelter in Franklin County for more than four decades, providing a Temporary Emergency Shelter, 24-Hour Crisis Hotline, DV Counseling, Legal Advocacy, Peer Support Groups and more.

What will I do as a Case Manager with Lutheran Social Services?

• Provide Trauma Informed case management shelter services for victims of intimate partner violence fleeing for their safety.
• Complete needs assessments, goal plans, and exit documentation according to protocols.
• Provide residents with resources and information to obtain their identified goals.
• Advocate to service providers, landlords, community resources and the court on resident's behalf.
• Work as a valuable member of the CHOICES team to ensure residents are successful in meeting their identified goals.
• Participate in teaching university-level student interns techniques for working with an array of specialized community-based partners to assist unique populations with DV needs such as young adults, people from other countries, people who are hearing impaired, etc. as appropriate.

Requirements for a Case Manager with Lutheran Social Services:

• Four year degree in Social Work or a related field OR equivalent employment experience.
• Licensed Social Worker, preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience working in a social service setting required.
• Experience working with clients in crisis, mental health, or related field, preferred.
• Crisis management skills.
• Familiarity with domestic violence and family systems.
