Glendive Medical Center is seeking a full time Carpenter to work in the Engineering Department. The Carpenter shall be responsible for the completion of maintenance on both the exterior and interior building surfaces of all facilities as directed by the Director of Support Services. This position will take the lead on coordinating and personally completing small construction projects, estimating, drafting and on site project coordination of Contractors, Architects under the direct supervision of the Director of Support Services.



  • Two year degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of building construction or building maintenance experience.
  • Previous work-related experience that includes a combination of education and training in some or all of the following requirements: rough and finish carpentry, knowledge of how to work with EIFS, wood, metal, masonry, asphalt shingle and single ply roofing membrane construction assemblies, building codes and OSHA compliance preferred.
  • Previous health care or institutional experience highly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a team leader preferred.
  • Must have ability to be a self-starter and have an above average level of analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with the following software preferred: Word, Excel and drafting software.
  • Proficient in reading and working with architectural blueprints.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Montana driver's license without driving restrictions
  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. or more. Walking, bending, stooping, and standing are required through out the work day.
