What you'll be doing

As a member of the Baxter research & development team, you will assist in the calibration of equipment to support world class development of new medical products. As a Calibration Technician, you will maintain, test, inspect and calibrate equipment to ensure it is in good working order. You will maintain inventory, organize, and document equipment calibration. In addition, you will support 3D printing system for new product development. You will look to continuously improve efficiencies and methodologies.

  • Maintain the calibration database of all research and development equipment, document all work performed using computer- based service reporting procedures
  • Using hand tools, reassemble instruments and replace components as needed
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and quality auditors
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes
  • Maintain and operate 3D printers
  • Support 3D printer request from R&D and other business units

What you'll bring

  • High school diploma - associate degree or specialized training related to instrumentation is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with calibration, assemblies, and gauges is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal & effective communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Strong leadership and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different functions, flexible, self-directed, and organized
  • Continuously seeks improvement to overcoming repetitive and/or immediate issues
  • This roles require meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $36,000 to $90,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
