About The Position
- Assist in the development and improvement of lumber processing equipment
- Turn engineering models into burn patterns, machine, fabrication, and assembly drawings
- Effectively model concepts and detailed designs using 3D modeling software
- Provide direction to assemblers and machinists and work proactively with them
- Provide recommendations and creative suggestions for solutions to problems
- Coordinate the activities relative to the development of new equipment
Qualifications
- 1-year experience with SolidWorks or 3D modeling software
- Preference given to applicants with experience in the lumber industry or machine design
- Ability to continuously learn and improve knowledge of the industry and equipment
- Ability to focus on solutions rather than problems
- Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects
