Furniture of Dalton is a family owned flooring and furniture retailer that’s been in business for over 30 years. We have a fun family-like atmosphere and we highly value our customers and providing quality service to them. Our cabinet business is growing faster than we could ever anticipate.

We are currently looking for a full-time cabinet designer that is proficient in 2022 design. This designer would be responsible for handling their jobs from sales to design and to install. Designer would be responsible for measuring and designing cabinets for kitchen and baths as well as fulfilling appliance orders. The designer would work alongside customer to understand their vision and budget then making it happen. Our projects range from spec homes to million dollar custom homes.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Measuring and designing cabinets for kitchens and baths.
  • Fulfilling appliance orders.
  • Undertake design project from concept to completion.
  • Define project requirements and schedule.
  • Interpret and translate customer needs into rough designs.
  • Set costs and project fees according to budget.
  • Research and decide on materials and products sourcing.
  • Supervise work progress.
  • Work closely with architects, electricians, and constructors.
  • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in cabinet design.
  • 2022 capability.
  • Design degree or certification desired.
  • Portfolio of past jobs.
  • Good people skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to have multiple projects going at one time.
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships with vendors.
  • Team attitude.
