What does a successful Business Service Manager do at Fiserv?

  • Align the demands of business and IT in support of ongoing integration activities within Fiserv Technology Services (FTS).

  • Understand both business objectives and technology goals, ensuring that IT services and products align with the needs of the business to best provide maximum return on investment and assists in the prioritization of business demand

  • Understand and assess the pattern of issues that negatively impact ongoing integration activities, identify areas where improvements are necessary, drive and collaborate with other technology teams to improve process, ensure high quality of services provided

  • Ensure internal and external customers receive a consistent, high level of service that supports and enhances our business needs as they are related to technology and IT services

  • Report in through the infrastructure organization but will support the business unit they are aligned to.

What you will do:

  • Understand and analyze hot issues that are impacting the ongoing integration activities within FTS and facilitate and navigate until a solution is delivered
  • Focus on tactical issues such as ensuring CMDB accuracy and completeness, supporting implementation of an integrated infrastructure patching process, supporting the implementation of a unified vulnerability management process
  • Ensure the Infrastructure organization understands the customers’ perspective of service and is able to prioritize its services and service assets appropriately
  • Work with various IT teams to identify and improve processes and prepares proposals and presentations to do so
  • Maintain an accurate and complete view of the application inventory and supporting infrastructure in support systems like AppMap and CMDB
  • Ensure the IT Bill of Service accurately reflects the technology services in use by the business unit supported and that the organization understands the total cost of ownership and cost reduction opportunities
  • Understand technology refresh needs and cost of aging technology and ensure tech refresh plans are established and executed for the highest priority items

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of related business service management experience or an equivalent combination of educational background
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing ITIL Frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience working in Financial Analysis, business and technical analysis, with a good understanding of capital/OpEx spend
  • 5+ years of experience with security related workload (e.g. patching, infrastructure vulnerabilities) and ensure plans are in place and executed within policy standards
  • Strong passion and drive to find the root cause of issues and be a connector a navigator to align business and IT together

What would be great to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or related subject area
  • Comfortable with the context and content of the Payments industry and IT Infrastructure spaces
