Washington Corporations is looking to add a dynamic individual to our BI and Analytics team with extensive background in helping companies increase their analytics maturity and capabilities using Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Data Modeling, Visualization, and Dashboard Creation.

This individual must be able to work directly with business stakeholders to understand their businesses and needs to help them build trusted data sources and trusted company metrics using proven governance models for success in heavy industry sectors like construction, mining, transportation and heavy equipment.

As Enterprise Data Architect, you will have a primary responsibility to design, configure and support data warehouses, data models, associated ETL processes served by SAP Business Objects and Microsoft Power BI tools as well as analyze third party data structures to integrate data into on premise data and cloud warehouses to model data for efficient reporting and analytics capabilities.

The data architect will configure, administer, implement, and support multiple instances of prebuilt data marts, build Azure cloud data models, analyze statistical patterns in data and help define metrics and key performance indicators for our operating company business functions in a related group of companies. Primary responsibilities also include understanding, architecting, installing, and administering various version of SQL Server to support these enterprise applications. Secondary responsibilities will be supporting, administrating, and architecting Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne SQL databases.

This is a fulltime staff on-site position located in either Missoula, Montana or Vancouver, BC. No H1B Visa or Sponsorship

Responsibilities and Technical Skills Required:

· Experience with Microsoft Power BI

· Experience with SAP Business Objects is a plus.

· Experience with Microsoft Azure Ecosystem, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and SQL Data Warehouse.

· Working knowledge of SQL Analysis Services

· Experience with design, development and documentation of ETL processes.

· Proficient experience with various versions of Microsoft SQL Server including query tuning and index analysis.

· Data warehouse modeling experience.

· Statistical data analysis experience.

· Collaborate and work with other support groups including the Business Intelligence Architect, SQL and ETL Datamart Administrators, JDE EnterpriseOneAdministrators, and various other IT Infrastructure personnel.

· Deliver end user training, including both one-on-one and classroom settings.

· Must be able to travel to client locations throughout Canada and US

Position Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in IT or related field
  • Knowledge and experience delivering results within IT operations including IT enterprise-grade applications
  • Well organized task planner with the ability to self-manage and complete work as assigned
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Development and Business Operations
  • Familiar with IT enterprise process standards and regulations (e.g. ITIL)
