Crescendo Self Storage Management (CSSM) is a fast-growing niche property management firm. Our company has an excellent track record of acquiring and managing self-storage properties in multiple states and regions.

Our ideal Sales Development Manager candidate would have experience working in the self-storage industry or commercial property acquisitions, can work effectively in a collaborative, team-based company, and has a proven record of consistently meeting sales goals and objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Business development activity that leads to new facilities being added to the portfolio.
  • Face-to-face meetings with prospective clients.
  • Ability to generate a consistent pipeline of leads.
  • Inside and outside sales.
  • Participation in trade associations.
  • Live out CSSM’s core values (Kind, caring, positive, process-oriented and initiative taking), especially with prospective new clients.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Nurture and expand existing business relationships to increase lead generation and secure new contracts.
  • Contact potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them.
  • Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.
  • Research the latest in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand our current business portfolio.
  • Locate, present to, and sell our services to new prospects.
  • Maintain membership and involvement in targeted associations and achieve significant influence/impact for CSSM.
  • Support all CSSM’s sales efforts by following up on leads.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and CSSM’s Three Uniques: 1. Rocket cash flow 2. Brand flexibility and 3. No worries, it’s handled.
  • Meet sales targets per week to make a first impression with clients and prospects via meetings, phone, social media, email, etc.
  • Document and track leads and business development activities in CRM.

MARKETING

  • Work with the leadership team to plan association involvement levels and budgets
  • Work with the marketing manager to design and implement advertising strategies.
  • Participate in and represent CSSM in tradeshows, conferences, and promotional events.
  • Plan and organize relationship-building functions; including golf tournaments, charitable events, and other networking and social activities, many of which are after normal business hours.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and design team to ensure requirements, such as sales numbers and profit goals, are met.

REQUIRED SKILLS

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 years of business development and sales experience in the self-storage industry or similar industry.
  • Outstanding track record of building business and hitting sales targets.
  • Excellent ability to network with potential clients especially at functions after hours.
  • Results-driven and able to manage multiple sales projects in parallel.
  • Awesome proven ability to present services to potential clients and thus persuade them to contract our services.
  • Personality type: Outgoing, tenacious, driven, persuasive, trustworthy and dependable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
