Responsible for providing assistance, oversight and recommendations in supporting the day-to-day operations and process integrity of the Procure-to- Pay process. Research and develop standard and ad hoc reports related to Purchasing, Assets, Accounts Payable, Logistics and PCard based on a variety of requirements in response to departmental needs. Provide support for internal, State and Federal Audits with precise attention in regard to compliance, applicable Georgia Tech and State policies, laws, and regulations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Department managers, technical/project management staff, assigned group management, and the campus community This position typically will advise and counsel: Procurement and Business Services directors and staff, campus users and financial managers, Controller's officeThis position will supervise: N/A

Responsibilities


Job Duty 1 -Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external audits. Participate and advise in the resolution of non-compliance or audit findings.

Job Duty 2 -Conduct and provide data reports and analytics, workflows and metrics across department functions. Prepare, review and maintain records and other documentation related to compliance, proper authorizations, etc.

Job Duty 3 -Develop training materials, coordinate campus training on related department requirements, and maintain training records.

Job Duty 4 -Advise, manage, test and maintain information on process controls.

Job Duty 5 -Maintain a current awareness of regulatory compliance policies and processes. Provide policy and procedure feedback on changes to existing processes or the implementation of new policies or procedures.

Job Duty 6 -Develop system user expertise and serve as a liaison between function user and technical systems groups. Assist with system implementations and operations supporting functional users. Document system implementations and/or process enhancements within the department.

Job Duty 7 -Participate or conduct special projects as need to support the business operation.

Job Duty 8 -Maintain working knowledge and provide backup support for Assets, Purchasing, Payables, PCard Insurance and Assets departments as needed. Make Purchasing decisions, release purchase orders, edit and release contracts, make payments as needed to support backup positions.

Job Duty 9 -Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to walk around library and campus spaces and to be mobile for extended periods of time. Will require some intermittent evening and weekend work, particularly during peak times.

Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications


Additional Preferred Qualifications
IAPP, CPM, CPSM, CPPO, Six Sigma, Green or Black Belt, CPIM Background in compliance is a plus Background in areas of procurement and /or payables a plus Experience in a university setting is a plus Some background in Purchasing, Payables, Assets or logistics are desired Cross-communication skills between functional user and technical groups preferred

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


SKILLS
This position requires advanced working knowledge and skills in data organization, records management, database search and management, composition, problem solving, technical writing, statistical analysis, communications and formatting. A working knowledge of standard documentation processes, business system architecture and associated technologies, systems documentation, and report writing. Position requires the ability to operate independently with limited supervision and supporting multiple functions.
