Available Shifts: Afternoon and evening

Pay Rate: $11.00 starting rate and a FREE Family YMCA membership

Requirements:

• Ensure the Y is a safe environment for all members and program participants.
• Engage with all members and reinforces safety and membership policies as needed.
• Continuously walks through building ensuring all program areas are problem-free.
• Secure building and YMCA property during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas and includes tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing and trash removal. May also include other miscellaneous housekeeping activities such as clean sidewalks during inclement weather.
• May be called to assist in the event of an emergency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Light work. Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• The worker may be subject to noise.
• Occasionally subject to environmental conditions and unstable surfaces. Activities occur mostly inside.
• Ability to: Stand, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching occasionally during the work shift. Use hands and fingers for fine motor skills occasionally; walk on a variety of uneven surfaces and climbing stairs occasionally. Receive detailed information through sound as well as express through spoken word. Read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
