About the Role

Building Maintenance contributes to the success of FN Logistics by ensuring a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the distribution centers looking perfect. In addition, this position provides support to the Facilities and Events departments. The Building Maintenance will assist with the configuration and tear-down of rental spaces; maintain the distribution center; report safety concerns; maintain a clean and orderly general office space; and assist special janitorial projects (such as carpet cleaning).

Essential Functions

• Clean and supply designated building areas dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents
• Keep to cleaning schedules that are set by the Facilities Manager, i.e cleaning and maintaining floors (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, stripping, buffing and polishing)
• Scrubbing and sanitizing restroom facilities, office areas, etc.Re-stocking of supplies in restrooms, breakrooms, etc.
• Perform and document routine inspection activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Empty and wipe outside wastebaskets, replacing liners as necessary
• Dust with treated cloth the tops of all desks, credenzas, files, fixtures, glass and window sills
• Vacuum all designated building areas
• Maintains appropriate levels of Company-approved chemicals and supplies needed to ensure a safe and clean facility, including ensuring that chemical supplies are rotated and stored in proper containers in preparation for their use and placing orders to replenish supplies are low
• Disinfect various areas throughout the distributions center at all times
• Complete all duties, assignments and scheduled tasks from leads, supervisors, and/or Facilities department

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Self-directed, and able to work independently in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Strong attention to detail

Knowledge & Skill Requirement

• Proven working experience as a Janitor
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to physically work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to work independently
